Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer

Once again our Chapter will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Lehigh Valley Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and fundraiser.

 

All donations to this event are utilized to fight breast cancer. We walk and donate in honor and memory of those who are currently affected with this disease as well as to help to fund research and local programs such as Road to Recovery (free rides to treatment) and Hope Lodge (free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers).

 

Our team fundraising goal this year is $4,000. With your support, we can achieve this stretch goal!

Walk on the Lehigh Valley Chapter - Nittany Lions Making Strides team! Saturday, October 17th.

Walking with our Nittany Lions Making Strides team is a heartfelt declaration of our unwavering "lion-hearted" commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who are bravely battling breast cancer. It’s an opportunity to honor the incredible survivors who inspire us every single day and to reflect on the strength we share as a community. This event serves as a poignant reminder of our collective resilience, as we also take a moment to pay tribute to the cherished souls we have lost to this relentless disease.

 

So let’s lace up our walking shoes, embrace the spirit of camaraderie that defines us as Nittany Lions, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of many. Together, we can turn our solidarity into a powerful force for change!​

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot behind the Lehigh Valley Penn State Campus located at 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, PA 18034, @ 8:00am.

 

Please show your Penn State pride by wearing a PSU sweatshirt or baseball cap.

 

PennDOT orange vests will be provided to ensure your safety during clean-up.

 

You may also want to bring a pair of work or gardening gloves.
