Building Community Through Service
Our local Chapter hosts a wide array of service projects to engage our Lehigh Valley area alumni with the community and other Penn Staters! Current projects include Toys for Tots, Wreaths Across America, Second Harvest Food Bank Alumni Challenge, Bye Week Blood Drive, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Allentown Rescue Mission and Adopt a Highway.

College Alumni Food Drive Challenge
Join us for some friendly competition while helping our neighbors throughout the month of March!
Our alumni community is coming together to support the Second Harvest Food Bank and show some friendly competition!

This year, we'll compete against other local alumni groups to see who can make the biggest impact. Every donation, dollar, and hour volunteered earns points toward our total.
​
How to Earn Points:
-
1 point for every pound of food donated (Donation boxes will be placed at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus beginning March 1st)
-
9 points for every dollar contributed
-
50 points per hour, per person volunteering at Second Harvest
-
50 points for taking at tour of the Second Harvest facility

Whether you donate food, give financially, or volunteer your time, every action helps support neighbors facing food insecurity. Let's rally together and show what our alumni community can do!​
